

Frank was born at St James, VIC in 1891 to William Dodemaide and Ellen Stewart. Frank had a brother, Thomas, who is also remembered in the Avenue.
Frank was a farmer from Balliang, VIC when he enlisted in the AIF on the 12th of September 1916, aged 25. He embarked aboard the HMAT A71 Nestor in October with the 6th Reinforcements, 57th Battalion, disembarking at Plymouth, England in November.
Proceeding overseas to France in December, he joined his unit in the field in February 1917. Whilst engaged in the pursuit of the Germans during their retreat to the Hindenburg Line, Frank was killed in action on the 24th of March 1917.
Frank is remembered in the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
He is listed on the Roll of Honour for Bacchus Marsh, held by the RSL at Bacchus Marsh.
